About Physiotherapy

Physiotherapy is a science-based healthcare profession focused on restoring and maximizing movement, function, and quality of life. It covers health promotion, prevention, treatment, and rehabilitation using evidence-based exercise, manual therapy, mobilization, electrotherapy, and activity-based care.

Autonomous & First-Contact Care

Physiotherapy is recognized worldwide as an autonomous profession with first-contact status. In Bangladesh, the Rehabilitation Council Act 2018 entitles Physiotherapists as independent “Practitioners.”

What Physiotherapists Do?

  • Restore motor function and maximize mobility & participation
  • Assess, diagnose, and implement individualized care plans
  • Manage acute and chronic pain; prevent recurrences
  • Treat conditions across MSK, Neurology, Cardiopulmonary, Paediatrics, Sports & Women’s Health
